The IAFNS Food Packaging Committee held its third packaging sustainability roundtable online on May 9, 2025. This invitation-only event brought together experts from food companies, retailers, packaging manufacturers, and regulators to debate and prioritize areas where IAFNS can and advance science. IAFNS’ operating model delivers progress by bringing together government, industry, academia.
Specifically, the roundtable discussed barriers to achieving packaging recycling and sustainability targets, align on science gaps, and prioritize research topics to drive progress on goals.
