Join IAFNS for this public webinar with two experts in Nutritional Psychiatry that will address how foods and nutrients affect mental health and function. Dr. Drew Ramsey, a practicing psychiatrist and founder of the Brain Food Clinic in New York City, will focus on the research that has been done in the field of Nutritional Psychiatry as well as how translates to real life impact. Dr. Ramsey will share knowledge on key nutrients for lowering depression and anxiety and where to find them. April Hackert is a Global Psychiatric Culinary Medicine Research Dietitian, Scientist, Chef, International Clinical Eating Disorder Supervisor – and she is the founder of Choose to Change Nutrition Services. She will discuss nutritional biochemical principles, viewed through the lens of applied culinary medicine as a means of supporting positive mental health.

The session will be moderated by Leah McGrath, who has served as the corporate dietitian for Ingles Market since 2000. Leah is also the founder of Buildup Dietitians, an organization that provides encouragement to registered dietitians and students, focused on science-based practice.
