IAFNS at NUTRITION 2026
National Harbor, Maryland

12:00 am – 12:00 pm
IAFNS-supported research will be presented at the American Society for Nutrition Conference: Dietary Fiber and Cardiometabolic and Gut-Related Outcomes in Children: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Despite digestive issues being a common complaint among pediatric populations, a new review of the science on children indicates a need for more research on whether fibers can support normal gut function. The IAFNS Carbohydrate Committee funded this systematic review of evidence testing fibers added to the diet as they relate to cardiometabolic indicators and gut health outcomes in children.
