Science Talk '25

April 3, 2025 – April 4, 2025
9:00 am – 5:00 pm

IAFNS will be presenting “Bridging Transparency and Trust: The Role of Open Science and Science Communication in Food and Nutrition Research,” at Science Talk ’25.

Open science practices in food and nutrition research enhance transparency and collaboration. By making research openly accessible, these practices foster accountability and improve the credibility of findings. Yet, open access alone is not enough. Science communication bridges the gap between scientists and the public, ensuring research is translated for impact. Enhancing public trust is crucial to addressing the current skepticism surrounding food and nutrition science.
