Misinformation is spreading faster than ever, impacting public understanding of science and eroding trust in experts.

The founders of the Food Truth Project offered a snapshot of today’s misinformation crisis, exploring how and why false narratives take hold—particularly in the realms of food, health, and science.

They delved into the root causes behind growing public distrust in science, from cultural divides to communication missteps. They also focused on solutions: how scientists, institutions, and communicators can rebuild public trust and elevate community engagement.

Attendees gained insights and strategies to help strengthen the connection between science and society.
