Working Group on Food Classification - Dialogue on the Codex Process with US Delegates to CCNFSDU and CCFL

IAFNS will host two of the US Delegates to the Codex Committee on Nutrition & Foods for Special Dietary Use (CCNFSDU) and the Codex Committee on Food Labeling (CCFL).

The focus is to learn more about the Codex process and interactions with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The discussion will touch on what is known about the WHO efforts to develop a guideline on ultra-processed foods, including the initial step of developing a “more objective, operational definition of ultra-processed foods than is currently used.”
