Summary: International Life Sciences Institute North America and the symposium organizing committee hope that these proceedings will help to guide future work aimed at understanding both the role of low-calorie sweeteners (LCS) in food selection as well as their usefulness as an aid in the management of food intake, energy balance, and body weight, with the goal of contributing to the reduction in obesity in society.
