Early Risk Determinants and Later Health Outcomes

This workshop, discussed in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2009;89), stemmed from a quest to consolidate current knowledge on the early determinants of maternal and child health outcomes related to obesity, cardiovascular disease risk, and neurodevelopment. The primary goal was to delineate the relative influence of genetics and environmental factors.
