The 2022 IAFNS Science Innovation Showcase will be held as a virtual event. This science-first and science-focused event offers an unique gathering of innovators, thought leaders and scientists from across the food and beverage ecosystem.
The IAFNS Science Innovation Showcase will focus on next generation ingredients, products and tools which can be applied across food and beverage sectors.
What is the Science Innovation Showcase about?
The IAFNS 2022 Science Innovation Showcase is about celebrating next-generation innovations within food and nutrition. Uniquely this event is not a pitch event. This event is a science-first and science-focused where ALL, regardless of current or prior affiliation with IAFNS, are invited to submit an abstract. The abstracts will be reviewed by IAFNS Scientific Leadership Council and evaluated for inclusion in the final program. Selected abstracts will be invited to present their science.
The Showcase will offer an exceptional learning environment and brings together a range of experts, including food and nutrition researchers, healthcare professionals, opinion leaders, industry representatives, government officials, and future leaders.

As a virtual event, will I be able to engage with presenters?
Yes! Each presentation and dialogue session will include a live Q&A period to allow you to ask questions and seek more information from presenters.
For each invited session, there will be time set aside for audience questions. And, for the submitted presentations , all presenters will be live to answer questions from the audience.
Do I need to be a member of IAFNS to participate?
No! This is a science venue for scientists to share their science. We welcome and encourage participation by ALL regardless of current or prior affiliation with IAFNS to join us.
Are there discounted registration rates available for students and faculty? Are there discounted registration rates available for government scientists?

Yes! We are offering group discounts for attendees registering 5 or more scientists from the same organization. Please email us at showcase@iafns.org to learn more.
What days and times is the Science Innovation Showcase? What time zone is the meeting in?
The Science Innovation Showcase will occur over three consecutive half-days on December 13, December 14, and December 15. Specifically, the event will run from approximately noon to 5pm ET on each day.

How can I sponsor this event?
This science event is supported by the IAFNS Board of Trustees and the IAFNS Scientific Leadership Council. As such, we are not seeking sponsorships. We are seeking scientists to attend and learn at this event. Please register and join us!
How can I get involved as a speaker at a future IAFNS events? Can I recommend a speaker?
We always welcome interest from scientists and other leaders who would like to speak or offer recommendations for speakers at other events. Please email us at science@iafns.org.
What if I can not attend the Science Innovation Showcase? Can I get a refund?
Due to the low registration fees, no refunds will be given. However, substitutions are encouraged. Contact us at showcase@iafns.org to support transferring your registration.
Additionally, as a registrant, you will be entitled to priority viewing of the science session recordings available after the meeting.
What if I have technical issues during the meeting and cannot access the event?

Additionally, it will be possible for attendees to send a Question/Comment to the presenters during the symposium.
