The Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences is a non-profit organization that catalyzes science for the benefit of public health.
The Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences (IAFNS) is a catalyst for the creation of scientific knowledge and dialogue. Our work enables solutions that lead to positive change across the entire food and beverage ecosystem. Our core values guide our actions: scientific integrity, transparency, collaboration, and public benefit. Our members and research partners value scientific integrity above all else.
The Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences (IAFNS) is the only organization in North America uniquely positioned to mobilize industry, government and academia to drive, fund and lead actionable research and elevate food safety and nutrition sciences—all with the ultimate goal of advancing public health.
Our collaborative and inclusive tripartite structure empowers members to bring forward the diverse perspectives of the entire food and beverage ecosystem.
Now an independent organization, IAFNS evolved from ILSI North America. The establishment of IAFNS is the next natural step in our journey that represents where we are today and where we are headed.
Science with intent. Science with impact.
We prioritize research and convene scientists to catalyze evidence-based action that benefits the entire food and beverage ecosystem and improves public health. Our members and research partners value scientific integrity above all else.
