IAFNS has joined the American Society for Nutrition in an effort to harmonize approaches to studying the gut microbiome to better explore these connections. The scientific session summarized how improving the accuracy, precision and comparability of microbiome research will build understanding of the associations between the microbiome, health and disease prevention.
