At IAFNS our mission is grounded in a commitment to educate and inspire. We are a community that brings together scientists from government, industry, and academia to drive, fund and lead research in support of public health - and to usher forward positive change across the food and beverage ecosystem. We simply could not achieve these objectives without our incredible members and partners. These voices play a key role in how we see through our commitments to catalyzing science that matters and mobilizing knowledge.
We are focused on fueling smart growth across our organization and so much of our growth at IAFNS has to do with our tripartite membership. While our calendar includes frequent events and opportunities to collaborate, we deliver science and evidence - including peer-reviewed publications. We know more voices and perspectives, lead to better inputs and representation across the ecosystem.
We are proud to count among the IAFNS community trailblazers in industry, decision makers in government, and thought leaders in academia. We have deployed a strategy that makes everything IAFNS has to offer more accessible to everyone. This includes:
- A fully public event calendar that offers participation both in-person and virtual.
- A dues structure that makes involvement possible regardless of budgets.
- A roster of committees designed to proactively enable collaboration and informed decisions making across sectors.
- A commitment to bring public and private sector together through partnerships. (This includes data-sharing agreements with federal agencies like USDA.)
