Why is this important?
Obesity is a major public health concern in the United States and around the world, with over 72 million individuals in the United States considered obese. Creating a unified, successful obesity reduction strategy relies on understanding the underlying causes of obesity.
Committee Selects Researcher to Estimate Energy Intake using Personal Devices
The Committee has selected a research group led by Dr. Robin Shook, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Shook's study will validate and calibrate consumer devices to estimate energy balance.
This committee is no longer active.
